You Don't Care About the 47%
Make that 98%
Its Romney Arithmetic again.
And its pretty simple.
People who pay no taxes? Show me your tax returns! Ask GE why they pay NO TAXES!
You're telling me I pay no taxes? I pay more than you do!
You want Obama to show us his birth certificate. He has!
You, show us your tax returns!
I am a semi-retired Senior Citizen.
But I have to work to make ends meet.
I pay over 26% of my income in taxes. You pay 14%. AND you won't show us your tax returns.
I do receive Social Security. I earned it.
I do have Medicare. I earned that too.
You want to take away what I earned. I will fight you on that.
Live off the government? Ask Big Oil about their depletion allowances. Oh and your friends at GE again and the money our tax dollars give them?
You say we pay no taxes.
What about the 1-2% of the Super Rich, Multi National Corporation? Why should they live off our tax dollars.
Don't pick on Welfare moms.
Tell your pals on Corporate Welfare to get off the dole!
This is the thanks we get for bailing you out in 2008 with our tax dollars?
We gave you that money and you kept it.
That was a transfer of wealth from the middle class to the rich, no matter how you cut it.
And now you insult us in Boca Raton in a few "off the collar" remarks!
And you make no apology!
It is getting clearer what you meant in your book.
You make no apology to the 98% of American Citizens who work hard, pay their taxes and love this country.
Thanks for making it clear why we'll be voting for Barack Obama.
He cares about the poor and is the only president who was able to engineer a health care plan like you engineered in Massachusetts.
And all he wants from you is for you to pay your fair share of taxes.
You want to repeal Romneycare/Obamacare.
You, the Tea Party and the Republican Party will fight fair taxation every step of the way.
You will continue to insist on a subsidy from the middle class, seniors, and the poor.
Watch out, because the numbers of people who will not vote for you may increase dramatically from 47%!
I know this.
I will NOT vote for you!

The root of the problem is with the tax code. I pay taxes....percentage wise, I pay a higher more than Mitt Romney. But I have not risked millions of dollars, investing in companies that might create jobs for hard working people. He has. And because he was willing to take those risks, he got a lower tax rate. And I'm okay with that.
He gave away 30% of his income to charity. I'm no where close to that.
I have a lot of health issues...if Obamacare is not repealed, the US healthcare system, as we know it, will come to an end. We will end up like Canada.
Its "freedom" or "free stuff"....cant have it both ways.
I shudder at the whole idea of redistribution of wealth. Its socialism, which will lead to communism. A better route would be to do as Jesus tells us to do...to love one another and to look after one another. What would happen if ALL followers of Christ gave 30% to the poor, the homeless, the hungry, the sick? Imagine.....
I can understand why that apologist for greed wouldn't sign his name. I'd be embarrassed too. Canadians have more "freedom" than Americans.
I agree that the tax code is at the root of the problem. Look, we know what welfare to the rich and to the corporation provides. It provides a fabulous amount of money for the rich. They in turn send our jobs overseas so that they can continue to exploit and oppress the poor. I too shudder at the redistribution of the wealth: FROM THE MIDDLE CLASS TO THE RICH. This is precisely what the "Trickle Down" Reaganomics has done over the long term. Truth is, it is "Trickle UP". There you have redistribution. Romneycare in Massachusetts/Canada and now Obamacare does not inhibit our freedom in any way at all. I get care in Massachusetts from the doctor an the hospital of MY choice. What is more fundamental to freedom than the freedom of LIFE!!! Take away healthcare as Romney has promised to do, and people will die! As for the apostles, we're told they held all things in common. (Acts 2:44). I object when the rich pay less than I do as a percentage of income. All I ask for is that the rich pay as much in taxes as the rest of us.Remember the last time we had peace and a balanced budget was under Clinton. You guys rejected that too!
Thank you BlogFodder. I lived in Toronto for 11 years and often sang of the "True North Strong and Free". We have so much to learn from an intelligent people who keep their banks reigned in, their economy viable even in the worst recession since the 30's (thanks to Bush and the Banks) and provide health care and an outstanding affordable education for all her people. If we took a humility pill from time to time, we in the US might discover we have much to learn from our neighbors to the north and elsewhere.
